Costs of Lawyer Assistance

We have no idea how much could be lawyer assistance to PNP immigration process.
Would someone like to share this information with us?
We know that things are very specific for each case and the costs can vary.
It's just to have an idea!

Hi Ricky,

Like you just said the cost can vary. Mostly they range from $3000 - $5000 for the process from start to end of the process. There are some which are lower but not reputed and can charge around $1500 - $2500.

Its case to case basis. Like our case, we pay 350 canadian dollars per hour to our immigration lawyer. From the start of PNP to now
(we have our papers in Buffalo for our PR and on the last stage) we spent more or less 5700 dollars already and its still not over. We needed a lawyer because
our case was quite complicated, being all of my children (4 of them) are now here and our lawyer did a lot of work for them to stay (esp. my two older boys ages 23 and 20). But now they are working. You can never tell how much you will spend. Everytime we communicate to the lawyer, there is always a fee for that, even if its only for a few minutes (email, phone call, letter, etc).

But in our case, its worht it.

Thanks for all your answers!
In the beginning I thought the our immigration case would be a simple one.
But the more I get relevant information the more I'm convinced that it won't be that simple!
My wife has two children from her previous marriage (a 12 y.o. girl and a 20 y.o. boy), but only the girl will come to Canada with us. Regarding to medical requirements, it's supposed to be all right with both kids.
I also have two children from my previous marriage (12 and 16 y.o. boys). They live with their mother and will not come with us to Canada.
The potential problem is that my 12 y.o. boy is Autistic.
Although his will not come to Canada with us, his health condition will probably result to medical inadmissibility.
So I guess that we will really need help from a lawyer.

I would like to know more about Mr. David Cohen and his company.
It would be very nice to hear from people who got (or is getting) legal assistance from them.
Everything you may write is welcome!
Tips, opinions, critics, time lines, costs, and so on.
We are planning to apply for the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program, and to live in Winnipeg.
In our application will be a total of six persons. I, my wife and my 12 y.o. step-daughter are supposed to move to Canada. My 20 y.o. step-son and my 12 y.o. (an Autistic boy) and 16 y.o. sons will stay back.

Here are my two cents:

- They are good lawyers, they know what they are doing
- Once you sign up with them getting them to speak to you on the phone is difficult. They insist on most communication being through email and ask for 4 business days before they reply back to you. I always had a problem with that
- Depending on the paralegal who is working on your case, you may have to deal with someone who is not very friendly (in my case the first person we worked with was very rude and unfriendly, the second one was much better - we did not ask for a change, it happened internally)
- My overall feeling is they are a bit pricey (~$3500 for AINP app) for the service they provide but they are not useless
