Hi everyone I hope everyone is doing fine, now I really really need some answers to my question because im freaking out.
This is the thing my wife wants us to go to canada, (she is a dual citizen born in canada and came to costa rica with her mother who is costa rican) we got legally married almost 3 years ago when I was 18 and she was 15 with her parents aproval it was legal for us to get married here ;D(costa rica) now the questions are, is this going to affect the process, and we got married with her costa rican citizenship so is this still valid are we able to apply, should we wait she really wants to go to college over there and i think she doesnt like it here but if we have to wait it means more time without studies for her :(

If she is 18, she can apply to sponsor you. However, it will take a while for your sponsorship to be approved - probably more than a year. She can come back to Canada to start her studies while you wait in Costa Rica. You could apply for a temporary residence visa to wait in Canada with her, but you will have to show ties to Costa Rica. TRVs are difficult to get for the spouse of a Canadian.

So more than a year to sponsor and then the normal process wich is 13 months???? that would be around two years???? I understand that is a special situation but why would it be twice the normal waiting time????

No, no, I didn`t mean your application would take longer than others from Costa Rica. The timeline at the moment is 29 days for the sponsor`s part of the application to be processed in Mississauga, then whatever time it takes for the rest of the application to be processed in the embassy overseas. Pretty well any application from Costa Rica will take more than a year - the only way to possibly speed it up is to make sure you have submitted lots of evidence the relationship is genuine. In this case the visa officer may decide no interview is necessary, which will mean your application will be done more quickly than the average.
