- LANDED..........
- 22-02-2013....FINALLY after almost 1 full year since applying
My husband went to land on Friday, Feb 22. All was good and we left the border. We went in to get his SIN card and there's a typo on the COPR specifically the Document No. There's supposed to be an 8 where a 9 is. The CBSA officer I guess didn't notice it?? So now, he can't get his SIN because the numbers don't line up with what is in the system for Immigration and Service Canada. We went to see a CBSA agent at the Edmonton Airport who put in an email to Los Angeles for us and she just got back to us that LA is checking with document records to see what's going on. She told us to call back tomorrow.
Has anyone been through this or know someone who has? We're not really sure of what to do. We called Immigration and they said to submit a request to Amend the COPR. Processing time is 6 months for this. We're extremely worried as we just spent $600+ to drive down for him to land and now we don't know what's going on. He has his signed COPR and the stamp in his passport but it has the wrong number on both supposedly.
We don't know what to do or what to think about this....
