COPR(Outland sponsorship) while a tourist in Canada

Hi, I received the COPR while in Canada visiting my Wife. They also attached a letter talking about the port of entry.
I was wondering there is any chance I can do the procedure right here in Canada(for instance maybe I can go to the airport just to activate it?) or do I have to leave and enter Canada?

Phyiscaly leaving and returning is probably the best way. As of now you're in as a tourist. You have to re-enter as a PR.

A small update. I was contacted to provide my address in Canada to do the virtual landing. So no need to leave.
