Congrats on your landing.
Are you in your 14 days isolation period on airbnb? How did you managed to get the groceries for 14 days?
Also can you please let me know what does this mean, "Travellers who do not have an appropriate place in which to isolate or quarantine themselves must go to a place designated by the Chief Public Health Officer of Canada". are they providing a hotel to stay for asymptomatic travelers too? and how about the hotel charges?
Please someone clarify me on this. I'm planning to travel on the first week of May.
You can order groceries and take-out online. If the grocery store delivery options are not available you can often find a volunteer who will pick up prepaid groceries and drop them off. Everyone entering Canada must quarantine for 14 days. So remain indoors for 14 days. The program just started but if you have not made your own arrangements that are suitable it seems like you will be taken to a hotel and told to check-in and someone will randomly check on you throughout the 14 days to make sure you remain in your hotel room. Not free. Best to make your own arrangements.

Unless I missed something why would anyone travel if they are knowingly Asymptomatic?

Also note that depending on how interpreted anyone who is not a citizen or a PR with symptoms would probably be refused entry. Anyone with a COPR is not technically a PR until they have landed so if showing symptoms on landing will depend on CBSA interpretation.

Thank you.

> Are you in your 14 days isolation period on airbnb?
Yes. I contacted the host prior to reserving to inform him of the situation, and he consented; deciding that I'll be staying alone in the property during my quarantine.

> How did you managed to get the groceries for 14 days?
A relative of mine took care of all my groceries.

> are they providing a hotel to stay for asymptomatic travelers too? and how about the hotel charges?
I don't think that will happen by default. According to this news article:

Under the Quarantine Act, travellers will need to confirm that they have a suitable place to isolate where they will have access to basic necessities, including food and medicine.
...
"Examples of things that could be inadequate, for example — if their plan is to go stay in a place where there are many elderly family members at risk of COVID-19, or [if] they don't have a set destination, if they've been outside the country for many years," said Trudeau.
...

"We now have the authority to require them to self-isolate for two weeks in a quarantine location, like a hotel."

Thank you, DentAspirus.

No I'm not from Egypt :) and I didn't use Egypt's VAC. I applied for the COPR well before the COVID outbreak.

I feel your situation nevertheless. Did you try to contact them through phone or via the WebForm?
Actually, I have contacted the VFS and they said that it is still in the embassy. And judging from the forum on here, I can see that there are many people who are in the same situation. I will give it a week or two and then maybe send a webform.
