Good morning everyone!
My wife and I received our CoPR yesterday and are very excited! We are US Outland applicants from Sept 2015 and currently are in Calgary. We plan to call the CIC today and make an appointment to land at the local CIC office in Calgary (likely in a couple weeks). One of the photos we sent in the original application is attached to the CoPR document and is the old 35mm x 45mm dimension.
I have read about others having issues and big delays receiving the PR card due to the transition to the new picture size. At this point I am trying to think of any ways to prevent a delay in CIC issuing my wife’s PR card. We were not asked for new photos, but from what I read on the forum… they will require them at some point.
Does anyone have any advice other than waiting for an official request? Would there be any point in bringing new 40mm x 50mm photos to our landing interview at the CIC in Calgary?
Is there any way to contact the PR card office in advance for guidance/help?
My wife needs to travel to the US and back this summer via airplane and we want to ensure she has her PR card in the next 2-3 months.
Any help and advice that you can think of is appreciated!
Thank you!!
