CoPR Copy at landing

Hello,

We just yesterday got our CoPR in the mail!!! The only problem is, it is in Canada where we can recieve our mail and we are in Panama!
Has anyone been able to go through immegration with a copy of the CoPR?
Has anyone been allowed to go out of customs and get the CoPR from a waiting family member and go back in?
Or will we have to drive to the boarder?

Anyone with this expereince please help

I've seen many forum members have their documents couriered to them from Canada or the US to their home country. Maybe you could look into that...

Unlikely since the original has a photo (used to issue PR card)

You'd have to call the border and ask if there's any way someone could send it 'in' to you.

Or will we have to drive to the boarder?

That's another option, as would be couriering it to Panama (schedules permitting). Depending on where you live you can also ask for an appointment at an inland CIC office (you'd call the call centre for that).

Just have your copr couriered to you. I had mine mailed by fedex from kenya in africa to my home in the usa. Took only 3 days

Thanks for all the answers.

We can't get mail here lol we have tried... I live at a hotel in the middle of nowhere. I don't want our mail lost when it is this important.

We will be in calgary so the drive is only a few hours.

Maybe we can get a really kind immegration officer who would let me get the paperwork, if not we have our backup plan!
