I'm asking for a friend.

Background:

His wife is due to give birth while in the US in a few weeks. He just passed remedical again last week, meaning that PPR might happen before the baby is born. But they won't have time to travel before the baby gets there. Should he just advise IRCC of the birth and emigrate with the baby having a US passport and apply for it via family application while in Canada or should he add it the his EE application before emigrating and having to wait even longer for another COPR?

Thanks

@ayeetee even if the COPR is received, he will need to inform IRCC after the birth of the child and inform them of the change in family composition. he will then need to share the documents for the child to be added to the application and then new medical exam will be requested for the child. Only then will new COPRs get issued and you can enter canada. he/she cannot enter canada after the birth of the child on the old COPRs.
