Do they mention in ur profile that they have issued AL?So you came to know abt the AL thru ur profile?

I think its best to raise a webform with your medical sheet so that they know the hospital has uploaded the new details.

I have a doubt that they might be auto updating the CoPRs as soon as remeds are approved OR they gonna issue ALs or PPRs in bulk.

I specifically got a slot in my application document cache to upload re-meds and also upload a letter "that I will be able to travel when I complete my medicals".

Then upload your remeds info sheet in that slot if not done already. Once you upload it your application status should change to Submitted.

Hi guys, I've just got the AL (email) as below:

As your application for permanent residence was approved on or before March 18, 2020, you are exempt from the travel restrictions.
As your CoPR and PR visa expired on 2020/07/29, we have extended their validity until 1/31/2021.
At this time,, we are not printing and mailing new CoPRs or PR visa counterfoils we are n. For your travel to Canada, you will need to:
· bring this letter, along with your original CoPR and PR visa
· show it to the airline as proof that you are exempt from the travel restriction and that the validity of your expired CoPR and PR visa have in fact been extended.
· use this letter before 2021/01/31

In the same day a new counterfoil is added in my IRCC account which is valid until 31 Jan 2021.

I'm gonna need your help for my two following questions:

1. Actually my COPR and PR visa expired on Sep 09 2020 ( not Jul 29 2020 as stated in the AL). Is there any problem using this AL to travel if the expiry date is not correct ? Should I contact IRCC about this ( to extend the validity of the AL) ?

2. It is clearly stated in the AL email that IRCC won't issue PPR or new COPR to me anymore. However, right after that I received a new counterfoil in my IRCC account which is valid until 31 Jan 2021, does that mean PPR is coming ?

You are special and this is the better way instead of waiting for 2-3 weeks of getting your remeds uploaded by IRCC agent via webform.

Hey! Disclaimer - I have not gotten any 4-pt emails or any other mails asking for eligibility. I'm still waiting for IRCC to reply.

However, I had briefly consulted with a lawyer and she emphasized that if we plan to quarantine together, we need to prove that both of us won't leave our apartment at any time - this includes how we will access essentials, and also a letter from my wife's workplace stating that she can stay at home for the duration of quarantine.

Thank you for the advise. I am mostly inclined towards airbnb.

If its your wife then you can quarantine her at your place. If house does not have separate room then it's recommended to quarantine yourself too with your wife (if this is feasible to you). Just make sure to have essential items required for 14 days all sorted out prior of getting quarantined.

Imagine if you were travelling with your wife then you would also have quarantined in the same apartment. Just mention your plans for accessing the food, groceries and medicines to IRCC. If you have helpful friends living nearby then there is no harm in mentioning them also.

You can book AirBnb too, its your wish.

To be on safer side, make sure to have an opinion of your wife

I was about to travel with my wife initially from India but travelled alone as I could not wait more because of work commitments. I quarantined 14 days in my apartment and my friend arranged everything for me.

I have a hall and a bed room but no separate washroom.

Lets see.

I just received AL few days back and in my quarantine plan I only mentioned the followings:
- Apartment will be rented through Airbnb within the budget of XXX, this one will have separate living space, washroom and kitchen.
- Address: TBD.

There are others who got updated CoPR but no AL was issued for a week. Not sure about their status now.

Anyways lets see what is gonna happen tomorrow. Finger crossed.

@13nitinsharma , have you got your AL or new COPR yet? I recall you mentioning some positive changes in your profile some months back.

Also, considering that medicals are expected to expire(Even with the 6 month extension) for some of the post March 18 COPR holders who got it in March or April, does it make sense in trying to proactively go ahead with doing remedicals irrespective of any mail being sent by IRCC to do the same?

AL was issued the same day we got our COPR updated but IRCC mailed the AL to our agents email id THAT TOO by mistake as my personal id was not updated by the IRCC and my agents ID was still there.
But from past 3 months all the communications between us and ircc was done through my email and I even got the message at their end that my account is now linked to my personal email id...ANY HOW IT WAS MISTAKE AT THEIR END AND WE WERE SO TENSED...

SO, IN SHORT WE DID RECEIVED OUR AL ON THE SAME DAY, OUR COUNTERFOIL WERE UPDATED.

Important NOTE: We also called IRCC ON 22nd Dec to know why we haven't received our AL ...it was from them we got to know that our AL was mailed to our AGENTS email id.
