> Are these criteria cumulative? I am asking because in the "compelling reason to travel to Canada now" they give examples that seem extraordinary. What about an applicant who is ready to travel but doesn't have a job lined up yet, doesn't have family there, etc? I assume this is a bad wording from IRCC and we can still obtain an extension if ready to settle in Canada and COPR issued before 18 March?

Same doubts even I had. All these requirements seem too restrictive.

Hey so, Could you please tell us what all documents they asked you for?. I have called NDVO today. They asked me to wait for few days. I have raised a webform to ready to travel on sept 1st and my friend is providing me a place to quarantine. I will be staying in a separate room in his apartment.

Congrats on your landing and that is great news to all of us here. I have a question, when you sent your webforms in July and August before they sent you a mail asking for proofs of travel, job and settlement, what did you put n those webforms? POF? plans to settle? or just a generic explanation that you are ready to settle n move. Also from where in India did you fly to Toronto? And did you do any COVID test before flying?

Same here. We submitted the documents on Monday as well. I’ll keep everyone posted on what comes next as well.

Coincidentally, the day i was about to send the confirm air ticket, Airbnb booking, and rest of the documents required, an email pops up in my inbox asking to submit these documents for the extension. I did it the very next day since the email mentioned it has to be completed in 10 days. My flight ticket was just 24 days away when i submitted these documents, I was counting each and every day since everything goes for a toss if they don’t respond with ETA on time. Fortunately, i get the ETA on the 10th Day, I was in disbelief for some time and i even thought it was fake for a min but I logged on the CIC account to cross verify, and there it was my new counterfoil number. Next task was to check with Lufthansa if they allow this letter to be used, and i had no answer from them so i went ahead and canceled the ticket to book the VBM flight and finally i landed in Toronto few days back and in self-quarantine for the next 14 days as I’m writing this post.

Hi.. Can you please tell us from which email ID did you get the email? And did it appear in your inbox or spam folder. This would be very helpful.

all the webforms raised were just mentioning that I'm ready to travel and after the 4th time is when I got the email from them asking to reply to their email within 10 days of receipt. I traveled from Kochi>Del>Toronto. I didn't get a COVID test.

Please share did you went through covid test for taking negative report for boarding flight or Immigration people in India or Canada asked for this test.
