Waiting on CoPR extension-

Hi Guys,
I was able to speak to an agent today regarding CoPR extension.

My CoPR has expired on April 24th. Raised two webforms- one before expiry saying unable to travel, one on May 22nd saying ready to travel.
I have received response on the respective webforms. Last Monday (06/15), I have received a message in my portal saying IRCC has received my request of extension and asked me to let them know when I am ready to travel to process the CoPR extension. Maybe due to backlog in the webforms, it took a while to get the update in portal.
Anyway, I was able to talk with a call center agent today after long wait of about 30 mins. I wanted to check if they have received my ready to travel webform and if there is any progress. The agent put me on hold while checking with a system specialist (according to the agent, the system specialist has the most updated information) and said that they have received my ready to travel webform, but there isn't any clear instruction about how to process the CoPR extension to the visa offices. So we have to wait until they receive clear instructions/green light to process the extension. I was asking if they have any information whether we need to send our passport upon approval of the extension. The agent said they don't have any information regarding this also. She has also mentioned that according to her knowledge--none has received CoPR extension so far.

Later, I have asked about the validity of my medical, criminality and security (if there is an expiry date as well). She said both criminality and security is showing pass only and the validity on my medical is 7th April 2021.

Just wanted to share the timeline and information with you guys. At this point, we all have to wait until further instruction comes from IRCC, I guess!
Good at least the medical is extended , now the only issue is the COPR visa

As for SIN, service centres are closed but you can submit a SIN application online. Which I have done and according to the website it would take twenty days to be issued.
I read about rejections because of the proof of address. Very curious if this is true or not.

Hello, are there any updates on the SIN number? Did anyone receive it while applying online? I read about rejections and it seems that the proof of address from airbnb is not something they would accept online?

I rented a car (minivan - dodge grand caravan) and drove it to Toronto. There is no issue, you are allowed to use your license up to 60 days, you can confirm online, at least this applies with US license. Driving your own vehicle is different because you would need to do the import process, but if you complete that you can still drive with US license until you exchange it. Uhaul did have an option for cross border but it was 5x more expensive and we didn’t have that many things.
Yes, I will be exporting my vehicle, and it is good to know that driving is permitted for 60 days or so.

Thanks for all your help.

It appears that immediate departure from Canada by personal car would have been fine, i.e. soft landing. But this isn't what CBSA have been telling us.

https://orders-in-council.canada.ca/attachment.php?attach=39166

Exception — leaving Canada

8 A person who must quarantine themselves under section 3 or remain in quarantine at a quarantine facility under section 4 may leave Canada before the expiry of the 14-day quarantine period provided they continue to quarantine themselves until they depart from Canada and provided they depart in a manner consistent with the travel requirements set out in section 2.2.
Woah, truly, according to the above section of the Order, leaving Canada before the end of the 14-day quarantine is allowed! Why hasn’t anyone pointed this out before?

However, where does it say that you can only leave Canada in a private car? I do not see it. There’s nothing about the means of transportation required to be used to leave the country in Section 8 or the other Sections it refers to:

Section 2.2 is about the requirement to wear masks while travelling.
Section 3 is about the requirement of asymptomatic persons to quarantine.
Section 4 is about asymptomatic persons who are unable to quarantine and allowances for the matter.
