My epilepsy requires daily medication to control. I have no problems with the epilepsy and work/live a normal life though I do see a neurologist every six months. Might this cause me to fail to med exam?
Wrong - excessive demand does not apply to spousal sponsorships.Galano1213 said:Medical refusals and inadmissibility
This section contains policy, procedures and guidance used by IRCC staff. It is posted on the IRCC website as a courtesy to stakeholders.
An applicant may be refused on health grounds – if their condition:
is likely to be a danger to public health or public safety, or
might reasonably be expected to cause excessive demand on health or social services

You quoted the excessive demand section in response to the OP's post.Galano1213 said:they are only exempt for the "excessive demand" section. Not from Danger to Public Health or Danger to Public Safety.
Any update regarding your medical exam?hemlockmark said:That puts me at ease. Thank you to all for your responses!
OP's situation is not applicable to you. He is being sponsored as a spouse and is therefore Excessive Demand Exempt, so epilepsy is not an issue.palawander said:Any update regarding your medical exam?
As already explained, OP is Excessive Demand Exempt, so epilepsy would not be a reason to fail.Marmora said:any updates regarding your medical exam results did u pass
