Is it Ok to apply at the age of 45?

Rest assured that there r many applicants in your age bracket.
It's perfectly Ok to immigrate anytime - however, younger the better...

WHY?

'Coz, at a higher age bracket we r ought have been settled well - wherever we r - and post "landing", we'd have to start "all over again" - which might be a bit of a situation with most ppl.

Nonetheless, there r scores & scores of ppl who take that plunge at that age - and r doing well here as well. Remember, the Canadian PR is more about our "kids" rather than us... the system wants them, more than us here... so, your case'd progress usually - no adversities there due to a higher age.

RELAX & enjoy the ride!

Quickies on Ontario

1. Every year around "half the people" who choose Canadian Immigration land-up in Ontario.

2. In 2009, of the 252,179 Canadian PRs, 106,867 moved to Ontario. This makes Ontario the most diverse of all the provinces.

3. Ontario is the most populous Canadian province with over 13 million people.

4. 90% of Ontarians live within 200 km of the US border/s.

5. The largest concentration of people, around 8 million, live in the “Golden Horseshoe” (Toronto, Hamilton and Niagara Falls).

6. Toronto's population is 2.5 million, with a further 2 million located in the GTA. Total: 4.5 million!!!

7. Ontario covers over 1 million Sq. Kms (415,000 sq. miles), which is "larger than" France & Spain combined.

8. There are over a quarter of million lakes in Ontario and along with rivers and streams they hold "one-third of the world's fresh water" approx.

9. Ontario has over 16,500 Kms (10,253 miles) of highways linking it's cities & towns including the US.

10. Highway 401 is one of the busiest roads in the world with it's larger part running through the GTA carrying around 400,000 vehicles every day.

11. Ontario also has over 60 airports providing both passenger and freight service to the rest of North America and the world.

12. The busiest airport in Canada is Toronto's Pearson International which handles over 32 million passengers a year and over 480,000 metric tonnes of cargo.

13. Close to 40% of the North American (including the US) population is within "a day's drive" of Southern Ontario.

a) That 2 yrs of DPharm should be written under professional training fields. I'm not sure what column no. that was, 'coz I had filled that form a longtime ago.

b) Start from the 10th Board exam.

Dear Qorex,

Well i have already asked this question but again it is creating confusion in my mind.

As i am planning to apply under 3131 .

I have done Diploma in Pharmacy , but i found NOC that employement requirement : Bachelor in Pharmacy is required.

Do you think that boz of this i am not eligible to apply under 3131 ? Boz to be a pharmacist in Canada one must have Bachelor ?

Please help to clear it.

Awating your reply.

Mayank,

Lot would depend on your experience & the tasks u handle/d, plus the VO's assessment of your JDs. Yes, it's understood that a guy employed in a particular NOC would be fully qualified in that stream -- but that doesn't stop ppl migrating to another profession, does it? There r scores of examples of Accountants becoming a Hotelier, Doctors/Engineers becoming Public Servants, Marketing ppl getting into Supply-Chain Management et all. And they do make-it to Canada as well.

I cannot state sanguinely, but IMHO your DPharm should suffice...

Re: A MASTER THREAD of some of my posts here >>>

Income Tax

Our 'personal' Income Tax, in Canada, is divided into two layers: (a)Federal and (b)Provincial. Both taxes are applied to taxable income. This is how it goes...

(a) The Federal rates for 2010 are:
15% on the first $40,970 of taxable income, +
22% on the next $40,971 of taxable income (on the portion of taxable income between $40,970 and $81,941), +
26% on the next $45,080 of taxable income (on the portion of taxable income between $81,941 and $127,021), +
29% of taxable income over $127,021.

(b) The Provincial "Ontario" rates for 2010 are:
5.05% on the first $37,106 of taxable income, +
9.15% on the next $37,108, +
11.16% on the amount over $74,214

*Tax rates are subject to change each financial year.

Shocking??
No... the Govt. spends most Dollars back on us. That's the beauty of Canada. I might later write on how this Tax Revenue is expended.

Re: A MASTER THREAD of some of my posts here >>>

Dear Hariranjith.

To apply under FSW only General Ielts score need to submit.

Also from your General IELTS : but only 10 points from general
L 7.5 -> 4
s. 6.5 -> 4
r 6 -> 2
w 6 ->2

So NOT 10 But 12 Points from it.

Also your avg. 6.5 is good.

So advise you to go ahead with GEN. Score.

Regards,
Mayank
