Consulting with an Immigration Officer

Hi all, I was waiting for an LMO since last August of 2011, since a new work permit is the only requirement missing for my application for AINP. But alas, my 90 days restoration and waiting has expired. Every week, I kept asking our HR for some news and she keeps on saying that still no news and no results. Since the LMO didn't arrived and no work permit after the 90 days restoration they kicked me out of the property and terminated my contract since I cannot work.

I just wanted to ask, if anyone has experienced this and cause I am submitting my plea to an Immigration officer and hoping they would give me a chance. Since I trusted my employer, where I've worked for the last 5 years and I am nominated there, I didn't look for another job and they just told me to look for one when there is not enough time.

Please any advice would help. Thank you all.

I am very new to this stream, but are you SURE you need an LMO if you already have a nomination??? Have a look at this link http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/no-lmo-required-to-apply-a-work-permit-if-you-are-a-provincial-nominee-t98326.0.html
Hope this helps. If this information is too late, I am very sorry for your situation. Good luck.

I believe so.Because the HR person in charge of our nomination says we should wait for the LMO to get a new work permit as part of the requirement of the AINP. And the LMO is still not here and I ended up losing my job and thrown out of the property and losing my AINP.

Jobless and homeless in a foreign land. :(

And I think, I should have a confirmation first from the AINP for me not to apply without an LMO. Mine was not even submitted since I am missing a requirement.

@wideopenspaces:

Thank you for your pm. I am on the look out for new job right now. My problem is even if I get a new LMO from another company, they would ask for my old working permit and they would see that I am past the restoration period. I don't blame anyone. It's just how I was treated when I didn't get the LMO on time and how I trusted them.
