Sometimes they take long time in Manila....
but if the time is too long you should contact your MP and ask for his/her assistance,

Processing time for Manila is 14 months. You are still well within their time lines.

i second that.anyways you are near the finish line, you should hear from cic sooner its summer time so usually processing time slow down a bit.
good luck.

Thanks guys for your replies...actually my partner tried to get some help from her mp already and its good that the representative of the mp is willing to update our application,i just sent the authorization form for them to open our file.hopefully we will hear goodnews about our application soon. how about you guys whats your timeline???

Question?
Hey guys!!! I just updated my status from CRA to Common Law this year, I just wanna asked what document do i need to get from them, stating that I am in a common law relationship? So that i can submit it to Immigration as evidence.

Thanks

Have you already sent in your application? There really isn't anything you can send from CRA that would aid in your immigration file after you already filed. Not that I am aware of anyway.

Hi guys the representative of the MP just gave us news a while ago on our application, she said that background/police check is still pending, i hope they wont ask for updating on my nbi clearance and medical cause it will soon expires the MP said that we really need to wait for the 14 month processing. and i just have a question what comes after background checking?

Hopefully with the help of MP will make the processing of our application fast.

no, sorry to report, an MP can not get a file processed any quicker than normal. For the most part, they are able to get information on your file on your behalf. It is very unlikely an MP would have any pull in the processing of files.

i can't answer that question, as i'm not failiar with the processing in manila. my suggestion would be to find the manila thread and see what the current "trend" is.

Just for your information,

MPs doesn't need authorization to open any file... they have the authority to request information
on whatever file they are assisting....

In case that the constituency has not MP due to resignation of MP or similar, the person in charge of the office will have the same power....

But good that you are already into that...
