Conjugal partner Sponsorship - Inland Application

Hi Everyone, i just want to know if anyone of you have applied for a Conjugal Partner Sponsorship here in Canada. I am currently under the Live-in Caregiver program. Me and my boyfriend, who is a Canadian Citizen, wants to live together but because of my status here in canada we were not able to do so. so we decided to try applying for a sponsorship. We are in a relationship for more than a year now. we want to keep the sponsorship a secret from our family to avoid issues. do you think it is ok not to include letters from our family? we have pictures of our trips and also have a joint bank account. i was wondering if these are enough proof of our relationship. do we also need to include a statutory declaration for common-law partners even if we are not in a common-law relationship yet? hope you could help me with this. thank you so much in advance.. Conjual will fail since you face no immigration barriers to common law. You could easily quit your job as a live in caregiver, convert your status to visitor, and live with your boyfriend a year to become common law. Presumably there is also nothing stopping you from getting married.

No - it's not an immigration barrier.

As stated, you and your boyfriend could start living together today and one year from now, you would be eligible to apply for Common-Law Spousal Sponsorship.

Or...you could get married today and apply for Spousal Sponsorship tomorrow (in theory), while you continue your contract.



Your plans for a conjugal application will not be successful.

In that case you face no immigration barrier to either common law or marriage. A conjugal application will be refused - there's no point applying until you are either married or common law.

That's your personal choice, it's definitely NOT an immigration or legal barrier.
In fact I don't think an INLAND conjugal app is even possible by law, since a requirement of any inland app is that the sponsor and applicant are living together in Canada during the entire application process. If you don't live together, you can't apply inland.
