Hi folks,
I am a veterinary doctor from Nepal. I have been accepted as a MS student in Department of Veterinary Medicine, University of Calgary, Alberta to start my course from may 2013. I have received research assistantship worth CAD 20,000 per year. I have to pay tution fee around 12800 $ per anum, but my prof says that About half of the amount will be refunded back to me after I pay my total tutuion fee after I be at canada.
Now I am willing to apply with my wife so we want to enter to canada together. She has a Bachelor in Agriculture Degree from the same Uni I completed my Degree. She has a good work experience from an INGO.
I am worried about the funding part. My sponsor ( My father ) can show the bank balance or more than CAD 20,000 and continuous family income. I can show the my property valuation verified by CA as we have enough property to show. I would like to ask, what are the chances of the visa approval when we apply together with this scale of fund available. Hearing to the people, I listen different views which has made me confused about applying at the same time or not. Should I apply together or not. It would be very much helpful for me if I hear from the one who has experience of the similar case or knows better about process.
Looking forward to hearing from you.

Yes chances are low when u apply with ur wife because ur strongest tie to ur home country is ur wife and u apply with ur wife then the vo will not be satisfied that u will return back.

Alternatively what you can do is apply alone , reach Canada, after 4-6 months after getting good grades call ur wife on visit visa .... After she arrives in Canada apply for her owp

Thanks for the response man. But I have heard from many that, applying after some time reduces the chances of getting visa. Really confused.
