Dear Experts,
I am planning to apply for a new PR Card, as my legal name has been changed on my passport. Let me give my summary first..
The immigration visa was issued to me in Feb 2016. And then after a month, I got a new offer and joined new company and started working there. However, I landed to Canada in July 2016. Had my PR card and flew back to the country of my residence and resumed my job. Before one month I finally decided to return back to canada permanently and currently I am in Canada.
Now since I am planning to apply for a new PR card , in accordance to my updated passport ( in which my name has been slightly changed ), I have few questions, while filling out the Application form for a Permanent Resident Card [ IMM 5444 ] in the ..
Question 20:
WORK AND EDUCATIONAL HISTORY INSIDE AND OUTSIDE CANADA: Your work and educational history for the past five (5) years or if you became a permanent resident less than five (5) years ago, your work and/or educational history since becoming a permanent resident. If you have not worked or studied, provide your other activity history, including location. List ALL your activities in chronological order from the oldest to the most recent.
Now my concern is that, once the immigration visa was issued to me , after that I joined a new company and I didnt inform to CIC about that, as my immigration visa was granted and I read nowhere that one has to inform to CIC after getting an immigration visa that where is he/she is working after getting an immigrant visa. But somewhere I am confused if this will cause any problem if I mention my new company’s details under the work history. Because I am also thinking that if it is legal to work outside Canada for less than 2 years after becoming a Permanent Resident. I mean is it okay if I mention my company’s name under the work history ? Since I was also out of Canada for around 1 year and 11 months after becoming a PR and was working outside in a new company.
Please advice
