Hi guys
pls I desperately need your opinion, I applied for a student visa in Cameroon on the 30th of June...Last week monday I received a mail requesting to go for a medical, then two days later I had a call from my embassy saying my passport is ready.I was quite surprised because I hadnt yet completed my medical exam...when I collected my envelop, there was my passport with no refusal or acceptance letter, no stamp or visa...absolutely nothing. The doctor told me today that he has just forwarde my result...So I really dont understand...How did they take the decision to return my passport without my medical result? If it is a refusal why is there no letter? and why did they request a medical exam? If it is an acceptance, why is there no visa, no letter... I am so confused, my visa office is dakar and I am from a different country...could this be a mistake? will I have to send my passport again by dhl...I cant sleep these days...I wrote to them on saturday and they are yet to reply? I phoned them all day yesterday but no one picked up...I dont know what to do again...pls help...pls...I cant sleep...I am just so confused...

Many Thanks for your replies

Hi,

I guess, the embassy forgot to send back your passport with the medical request previously and that's why they sent the passport separately.

Take your medical exams, submit your passport with your medical receipt to the visa office.

don't worry whenever they request for a medial exam then they send the passport with the medical call. I think they forgot to send u the passport together with the medical call. So if the doctor has forwarded your medical results to the embassy then send your passport back to the embassy.Make a cover letter to explain that the medical result has been already forwarded to you people. You are just a few days away from getting your visa.Good luck

the replies here are correct, passport and medical should be sent together when requesting for medical from embassy. if you have done your medical and confirm that it has been forwarded to the embassy, wait at least 3 days and send back your passport to them together with the medical receipt. Good luck mate

Hi guys,

thank you so much for your replies, you don know what this means to me....I am so grateful..you have made my day and boosted me up...
But pls just to clarify your point...the visa I am applying for is a student visa....do they really sent back your passport in this circumstances for medical without a visa in it and have you send it back to them after the medical? Thanks again for the clarification..
That is why this website/forum is sooooo good....... :)

Yes they do, you may also need to show your passport when you take your medical test. Before medical clearance, they don't stamp a visa.

You must submit your passport with the medical receipt.

PS. Now stop worrying and sleep well before your medical, because it will only raise your blood pressure level and make a bad impact on your medical ;)
