My Canadian wife is sponsoring me via the Spouse in Canada class. I also included an open work permit. We just recently received a letter from CIC informing us that they had our application. We were just worried about the wording of the letter. It said the application was for sponsorship of a member of the family class. It doesn't mention anything about being a spouse in-Canada. We're just worried that we've somehow been placed in the stream for out of canada applicants and thus won't be eligible for a work permit. We're hoping that they are just using "family class" as an umbrella term instead of being more specific.
Has anyone else received a letter for an In-Canada sponsorship that had similar wording?
Thanks
