Confirmation email

My Canadian Spousal Sponsor sent our app and it was received Monday the 10th of Sept. She was wondering how long it takes for them to send the email, that along with her reciept, can track the status online. Just curious, we're anxious.

Sometimes you won't even get an email confirmation that they've received your application package... you have to just go by the tracking when u mailed it. If ppl do get an acknowledgement of receipt it usually happens around the 2 month mark..... now, unfortunately, it's a long long waiting game.

Right now CIC is working on July 4th applications with an approximate processing date of 70 days......so your wife should expect something in November....have her watch the CIC website re: application processing times....it is updated weekly.

In about 2 months. We got ours in exactly 2 months.

and if/when it does come, the sponsor should look for it in their junk mail inbox

So are y'all saying that it's approx. 2 months for her to find out if she is approved as a sponsor and that's the email she's waiting for? She can't track her app. just me?

Somewhat correct. No one can track their app until they get an AOR (which is EXTREMELY rare) or approval.

the only thing you can track right now is the delivery date of your application to Mississauga...after that the sponsor may or may not receive an aor.....if the sponsor does receive an aor it will be via email so make sure the junk mail folder is checked daily.....or you may just get approval and this may come by email and it may come by snail mail....there is no way to tell which way it will come.....don't assume it will be email if you get an aor...it seems to be half and half...once you recieve either aor or approval the sponsor can track the file with the UCI# assigned the them and the applicant will have a file no/application no for them to track the progress......
