Does that language still appear anywhere in terms of an Inland applicant? The language was changed/removed from the Inland Guide last September, but have you found it elsewhere since then?

Still wondering why it was changed and...why CIC hasn't explained why it was changed.

The post you're responding to was from two years ago and reflects the rules at that time.

That's it...the moderators have to change the font size and color on replies that are over 3 months old, because I can't be bothered to actually read the posting date. LOL! How embarrassing!

Thanks for pointing out my blunder, but...it wasn't truly 2 years old (only 1 year 9 months).

I just applied Outland and I am out of status. We have a son together not sure if I did the right thing

If they live in Canada, they do not need to have legal status to be sponsored.

Yet the Inland Guide was intentionally updated to say that they do.

? ? ?

*EDIT*

That webpage was updated August 1, 2014 which was about a month before CIC changed the language in the Inland Guide.
