Sorry my last topic was deleted by the mods instead of deleting ONLY the other members questions in my topic.

I would like some help please.

I have gathered my forms and filled them BUT in the IMM5289 INSTRUCTION GUIDE it says:

Additional Family Information (IMM 5406)

Must be completed by the sponsor’s spouse or common‑law partner and his or her dependants aged 18 and over who are in Canada*
Schedule A – Background/Declaration (IMM 5669)

Must be completed by the sponsor’s spouse or common‑law partner and his or her dependants aged 18 and over who are in Canada*
BUT lower in the same guide it says:

Additional Family Information (IMM 5406)
Who needs to fill out this application form?

This form must be completed by:

You, as the principal applicant,
Your spouse or common-law partner (whether accompanying you to Canada or not), and
Your dependent children aged 18 or over (whether accompanying you to Canada or not).
and

Schedule A – Background/Declaration (IMM 5669)
Who must fill out this application form?

This form must be completed by:

you, the principal applicant;
your spouse or common-law partner (whether accompanying you to Canada or not), and
your dependent children aged 18 years or older (whether accompanying you to Canada or not).
I do not understand....Do I the sponsor have to fill these out or not??

Also the IMM5443 DOCUMENTS CHECK LIST do BOTH of us have to fill one out?Sponsor and principal applicant?

Thank you all

Chris

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
IMM 5406 is to be filled out by your partner, NOT you.

S/he would list his/her spouse or common-law partner if s/he were including that person in HIS/HER application. Since s/he is YOUR common-law partner (and you are the one sponsoring him/her) s/he does NOT include you on that form.

S/he needs to list every member of her immediate family (including half/step siblings), even though they are not coming to Canada with him/her.

IMM 5669 is to be filled out by him/her, NOT you. Again, if s/he were including a spouse or common-law partner, that person would also need this form, but you do not.

Each of you will need to complete the document checklist. If something on the list does not pertain to you, simply write N/A over the check box; do NOT leave it blank, else CIC will `assume' that you missed something.

Good luck!

Thank you for the reply. It helped me a lot!!!!

Another last thing is that my partner did not get her police certificate from Greece. She just forgot it....

I went to the Greek Embassy here and they said that she can ask for a police certificate (which the consulate here will provide the legal documents) to the Greek embassy in Greece. My partner has to authorize someone from Greece to get it (on her behalf) and that person must go to the Greek Embassy in Greece and they will provide it for us here.

That said, they also told me that the CIC can ask directly from the Greek authorities for my partner police certificate (which I find unlikely)

The question is:Can I send my folder without the police certificate of my partner and later on provide it to the CIC?Just because it will take a significant amount of time and I'm ready to send my documents now.

Will they start the process?

Hello everybody!

I wanted to ask if my common law partner (now that I am applying for my inland common law papers) has to apply for a permanent resident application or is this done automatically, by applying for her common law papers only?I would have to include Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF) with my application? So that would be:
Sponsorship application (per application) $75
Principal applicant $475
Getting your permanent resident status $490

Is this correct?
