Hi All,
I have applied for PR and am hopeful of getting the same in 6 months time. I have a family of 3 - (Myself + Spouse + 1 kid). After receiving PR, I plan to come to Canada alone first for 6 months - 1 year and settle with a job. My spouse and kid can join me later once I find a sustainable job in Canada. I wanted to check if my family doesnt come with me, does it impact their PR visa? I hope it doesnt get revoked?

Also can I fly back to my home country after some time and bring them to Canada with me. Will they also be subjected to a Visa officer interview at entry?

Looking for information and advise here..

Thanks

From my understanding you all must land before PR visa expires.

Your best bet will be to land with them and then they can go back to your home country and come bk after you have settled in and found a stable job.

Principal applicant can land before dependents but not the other way around. Every one must land before visa expires.

As suggested, you should land with your family and then your family may return to your home country to wait while you find suitable employment. Each member of your family will be issued a COPR IF you have included them as accompanying on your application. If you have included them as non accompanying then you will need to sponsor them once you are ready.

If they are issued a COPR the same time as you, they MUST land before the expiry date printed on the COPR. Also keep in mind that they may return home, but as soon as they do, their RO window begins to close. Be sure they do NOT stay out of the country for more than 3 years after you all land. If they do, they risk being reported for not meeting the RO and would need to be sponsored by you again.

Lots of information to absorb, so if you have questions, just ask. There are many good folks on these forums who know the ins and outs and can help to guide you properly to keep everything working well for you.

Best of luck!

Thanks everyone for the updates...
