I suspect the temperature will not be a challenge. Lack of sunshine might be more of an issue. I suggest a vitamin D (sunshine in a bottle) supplement, no matter where in Canada you live.

I agree. with the yellowknife comment, although I do not believe a year is necessary. A week should be more than enough hehehe... And really anywhere in central Canada will do just fine. Do not need to travel to yellowknife.

I am from a country which have much milder winter (no snow!!) ... so how can i stay warm during snow season .

i plan to move to Vancouver

homes and shops are heated. Don't worry you'll be alright. Warm clothing will go a long way.

Don't worry, there are many many people from warm climates like South Asia and South America that have successfully settled here. You will get used to it like they did too.

Oh poor Vancouver can't deal this year. It's a particularly bad winter for them, but honestly it is still the mildest winter in the country!

Learn to embrace the snow!

You don't need to deal with the snow if you live in a condo where there is direct access to a library or mall for shopping groceries and food court.

Canada is a cold country my friends, any where you live in Canada you will see temperatures going down below -0 its normal

Come here and you will settle easily.
