Closed work permit to Permanent Residence status

Hi Everyone, I live in canada for 3 years now and I’m on a closed work permit, which expires next year end.. Planning to switch employer but my existing work permit won’t allow me to do that. So, just curious to know like what will happen to my work permit status, if I receive PR in a month or so?? Will my closed work permit change to open work permit?? Any information would be helpful.

PRs don't require work permits. Once you are a PR, you can work for any employer you want to.
