We also had a long gap but if it is continuation of study and you explain it in letter of explanation then is should not be a problem. I would request you to do a bit more research and get the advise from experts.
I have almost same situation. I’m about to lose my job. And my PNP application 5 months to get PR.
What can I do to keep my process going !!

Hi there! Question about closed WP and BOWP. I'm currently a PR applicant (BCPNP & closed WP) and may have to apply for a BOWP depending on how long the PR process takes. So if I get my BOWP approved, would that mean I can work for another employer?
It depends. If your nomination is tied to your employer, then switching employers puts you at risk of having PR refused since you no longer meet the conditions of your nomination. In that case your new employer would need to be willing to support your nomination and submit paperwork to transfer the nomination to your new employer in order to be able to switch (without putting your PR application in jeopardy).
I hear ya. Thanks for the advice! I'll definitely stick around until I get my PR application gets approved since my nomination is tied to my employer.
