Hello guys,

can anyone help me out plz...

I have got the eligibility for PR now, but IELTS overall band score is 6.5 with listening 7.0, reading 5.5, Writing 6.5, speaking 6.0 Now will this score be good enough to drop my file or do i need to retake my test?
I work as a software test analyst. Could you also plz let me know under NOC level do i come under?

Thanks in advance:)

speaking 7 = CLB 8
writing 5.5 = CLB 6
reading 6 = CLB 7
listening 5.5 = CLB 6

Your score is CLB 6, 6, 7, 6 and does not meet the requirements for skill level A or skill type 0. You have to retake the test.

Hi,
I want to apply for my PR under Canadian work experience. My IELTS results:

Speaking 7, writing 5,5, reading 6, listening 5,5. I am under skill level A and I understand that it is not enough, right?
Should I try to apply with it or it doesn't make any sense?

listening 7.0 = CLB 8
reading 5.5 = CLB 6
writing 6.5 = CLB 8
speaking 6.0 = CLB 7

If you have qualifying Canadian work experience at Skill Type 0 or Skill Level A of NOC, your test results must match the CLB/NCLC below (see chart):
1. 7 or higher for each of the language abilities, or
2. 6 for any one of the language abilities, 7 or higher for any other two of those abilities and 8 or higher for the remaining ability

Your scores correspond to CLB 8, 6, 8, 7 and meets requirements for skill level A or skill type 0 and consequently, also good for skill level B.

Not sure about your NOC code.... check the NOC 2011 list or email your main duties and responsibilities to HRDSC and ask them to confirm your NOC code.

Speaking: 6.0

CLB Level 6

Reading: 5.0
Writing: 5.5
Speaking: 5.5

CLB Level 5
Listening: 5.0
Reading: 4.0
Writing: 5.0
Speaking: 5.0

CLB Level 4

Hi,

I am planning to apply PR in Canadian Experience class and i have one doubt in IELTS score.

As per CIC guide line the CLB level VS IELTS score..
NOC CLB Level, Speaking, Listening, Reading, Writing
A,O,B 6 5.5 5.5 5.0 5.5

Here if you calculate the overall results it come 5.5(5.5+5.5+5+5.5 / 4) and they given CLB level as 6

Please find my IELTS score below

NOC CLB Level, Speaking, Listening, Reading, Writing
A(NOC Code 2174) 6.5 5.5 4.5 5.0

Same thing as mention above calcualtion : overall result is 5.5(6.5+5.5+4.5+5.0 /4) and here also CLB Level as 6?. In this case can i eligible to apply the PR with this score? it has same score and same CLB level?

Please suggest me...

No , Sorry you are not qualified as per current rules with that score under A or O, you need to re-take the exam.

Hi Senorita Bella,
My Ielts score is-

Listening- 7.0
Reading- 7.0
writing- 5.5
speaking- 6.5

Pls tell me what is my CLB level and am I eligible for NOC 0631 skill type 0 or not ?

Please reply

Thanks....

there should be a new equivalency chart for CLB and IELTS, since CLB 9 is not defined by CIC yet. can anybody update on CLB9 (that is approved by CIC)?

SenoritaBella,

Can you please help me analyze my IELTS score and what CLB category do I belong.
I am NOC 2171. I worked here in Canada for 2 years now.
Got my AOR on Sept.12/12.
My overall score is 5.5.
Listening= 5.5
Writing= 5.5
Reading= 5.0
Speaking= 5.5

In your opinion, is this score enough for their requirement?
Thank you. Your help is much appreciated.
