Do you need to spend 3 years (out of 5) right after you first land in Canada?

Or can you spend 3 years in the last 5 and apply for citizenship once the 3 years have been completed? For example if I live 3 years in a row after I moved to Canada which was 2.5 years after my first landing?

Landed immigrant: Eligibility is 3 years in the last 5 years but if you landed within last 5 years then you need 1095 days since the day you landed. Doesnt matter when you moved permanently but you should have stayed for 1095 days before you apply.

Try the calculator which will tell if you are eligible. https://eservices.cic.gc.ca/rescalc/resCalcStartNew.do

First landing was June 1, 2018. Moving permanently in July 2021. If I stay 1095 days after permanently moving will I be fine?

Yes 3 years after moving is enough.
Make sure you try to meet residency obligation. If you landed on June 01 2018 then you should be moving before June 01 in 2021 as there should be 2 years left to meet residency obligation or else you would be reported at the border and will loose your PR status. So you should not move in June/July as it would be breach of residency obligation. Try to move by May 2021.

My bad - landing was on June 1, 2019. Thanks for clarifying.
