Hello Friends,

I hope you are all doing well, especially during the raging pandemic. May you all be safe!

I have a question that I have tried to search answers for on this forum and on the OSAP Aid Estimator, but without success. I apologize if this was asked before and answered.

These are my concerns/questions -

1) When applying for OSAP and when getting approved, or funds are released - do they consider last year's income only, or will they also take into account the amounts that the student earns during the period of study (current term/semester)? I have seen an amount of $5,600/semester - if you earn more than this in a semester, what would be the impact on your grant and loan? Do they reduce dollar for dollar for anything above the $5600?

2) The OSAP calculator provides an estimate of how much grants and loans you can expect given different scenarios, and this is great. I am unable to get the correct picture if a couple (two married students with children) both attend full-time school and apply for OSAP. Will both of them get the full amounts shown on the calculator, but will the total be split between them, or just one of them be given the full grant and loans? Not sure if I explained myself clearly, and I hope you get the message that I am trying to communicate, and provide me with clarification.

Thanks for your time and assistance. This is highly appreciated.

Best regards
