Clarification on Educational Certificates for WES

Hello Experts,
This is my first post. Please forgive me if you find any thing repetitive/wrong.

I am from India and planning to apply for Federal Skilled Workers Visa. Require clarification on 'Educational Qualification'
I have done Masters in Computer Application and currently working as 'database administrator'

In WES website it is mentioned that

(1) Clear, legible photocopies of all final or provisional degree certificates issued by the institutions attended(Responsible - By Applicant)

(2) All individual mark sheets indicating all subjects taken and marks obtained for all years of post-secondary study – issued by the institution responsible for conducting the examinations(Responsible - Request for all mark sheets to be sent directly to WES by the institution responsible for conducting the examinations)

(3) Similarly, for State Boards of Technical Education.

Does this mean

I have to approach 'Controller of Examinations' of respective university and get the attestation done on all the photocopies of all the mark sheets and then post them to WES in a sealed envelope for both point 1 and point 2??

Also, I have done my Masters from Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupathi, Andhra Pradesh, India. If you any one of is from the same univerisy or from university from Andhra Pradesh, kindly share your views as how this process is and how to proceed?

I assume that you have done your BCA before your MCA started.

Now what you have to do is to apply for a university transcript from the university you completed your BCA from and the university you completed your MCA from.

That means you need 2 Transcripts.

For the above mentioned purpose, you have to carry the photocopies and the original mark sheets of both BCA and MCA and the Degree certificate, they will charge you the fee that they charge for the above purpose, and then your transcripts will be issued accordingly.

Make sure that the envelope is sealed by the university, (the opening of the envelope is stamped and taped), and also send along the attested photocopies of your mark sheets, and the Transcript Request Form, separate for both the Transcripts.

After You get 2 Transcripts (sealed), and the photocopies (6 for Bachelors Mark Sheets, and 4 for Masters, and 2 Degree Photocopies, 1 each from Bachelors and Masters, pack them all in Yellow envelopes, and then, send them on to the WES with their payment receipt attached with it.

As per my understanding of your reply, I need to

1. Download two transcripts from from WES website(One for BCA and another for MCA). Get both of them signed and sealed on the opening, from
Controller of Examinations;

2. Get the seal and signature on photocopies of all the mark sheets and degree certificates of both BCA and MCA

3. Put the sealed transcript + attested photocopies of mark sheets and degree certificates in a single large yellow envelope along with the WES fee payment and send them

I graduated from S.V.University too. Did you do it online or you went to Tirupati in person to get the transcipts? I am in the US. Are you aware of any online transcripts sort of thing for SVU?

I have few clarifications as below please help.

1. I have got Consolidated Marks Lists and Convocation for both Bachelors and Master Degrees. If I request for transcripts with the university, do they provide semester wise / year wise marks achieved ?

2. Do I have I have to send Convocation, Provisional Degree, Semester wise Transcripts along with the form downloaded from WES for bachelors and masters separately ? or I can put all the docs related to both qualification in Single Envelope ( as both are from same university ) post to WES?

3. Please let me know how you got the docs from S.V. University ? If we visit University, can it be done in a Single day ?

4. My name is SYED ABDUL JABBAR in passport where as in educational documents it is S ABDUL JABBAR. So in WES Website there is an option asking " Were your documents issued under a different name? ". So do I have to select this option as Yes ?

4. Is there any additional document I have to present as my surname is shortened in my Educational Documents ?

5. My wife surname has changed from PATHAN FATHIMA to SYED FATHIA post marriage, SYED Being my surname. If I apply for her ECA, Do I have to provide any document for this change in name post marriage ?

Please help to clarify and share email or whats app number if possible.

Hello Jabbar,

If you haven't already found this information by yourself, here are few inputs for SVU transcripts.

1. SVU will provide year wise mark sheets. If you haven't already received them during your course of study, then you can request them now. You have to go in person for requesting the same and the usual time they say is 1 week for these to be ready.

2. SVU will not sign on WES Request form.

3. Since you have done both the degrees from single university, I believe it should be fine to send them all in a single sealed and signed envelope.

4. For transcript application, you have to submit a letter addressing Controller of Examinations, SVU requesting the transcripts and explaining the. purpose. Along with this letter you have to submit the Xerox copies of all your individual and consolidated mark sheets and Degree Certificate which will be sealed and signed. They will ask you to come after a week or two to collect these documents. Once you go back to the university to collect those documents, you need to verify these documents and they will then forward them to registrars office to close the envelope , seal and sign it and then will be handed over to you.

From my experience, getting transcripts from the SVU is not an easy task and you have to make multiple visits and stand for long durations some times as long as all the day waiting for the concerned officials to be in office and get your work done. This will be very stressed and tiring both physically and emotionally. I wish you all the good luck.

Did you get any solution for the point# 4? I have same doubt with my name displayed on Provisional certificate. My Last name was always mentioned as N, instead of full name. Now my passport has full Last Name displayed.

As I got my Sealed Transcripts from Sri Venkateswara University, I can help for this question here:

-You need to visit Sri Venkateswara University along with all the necessary documents for which you need the Sealed Transcripts.

-There will be a person to guide you with the whole procedure and you can contact him in the administration block.

-You can take DD/Challan from the bank and submit all the documents in the examination cell along with the application form.

-Then they will let you know the processing time and you can comeback on the specified date to collect the Sealed Transcripts.

-It may time upto 10–15 business days from the day you submitted the application.
