Clarification needed on PASSPORT

Hi seniors

my current passport is going to expires in Dec, 2017 and im planning on submit my eAPR in a week.

Would it be ok to use this passport or u recommend me to get a new one?

It all depends on how fast you receive your new passport. If you can get it in 10 days or so and have enough time left to submit e-APR, then submit the new one. Else, submit your application now, renew your passport and then inform IRCC via CSE.

Get a new passport, you need at least 6 months validity on your passport

Yup but your visa will only be valid til the expiration of your passport.

I think you can submit your application now as your passport is valid until Dec 2017, and inform CIC when you get the new passport.

I submitted my PR application in September 2016, at that time my passport was valid until July 2017. I renewed it in Nov 2016 when my application was still in process.

It depends on where you are now.

Inland - perfectly ok. you can submit the passport that you have now.
Outland - Its better to renew your passport and submit with new one.
