Why 20 pages were withheld from GCMS notes pursuant to section 16 (1) (c) ? Is that normal?
I don't think I saw this in my GCMS notes as I've never received a FP request and Criminality clearance came out with "No Reportable Trace".
This is what it says for 16(1)(c).
16 (1) The head of a government institution may refuse to disclose any record requested under this Part that contains
- (c) information the disclosure of which could reasonably be expected to be injurious to the enforcement of any law of Canada or a province or the conduct of lawful investigations, including, without restricting the generality of the foregoing, any such information
- (i) relating to the existence or nature of a particular investigation,
- (ii) that would reveal the identity of a confidential source of information, or
- (iii) that was obtained or prepared in the course of an investigation; or
They are likely looking into your background a bit more I think. Just asking to understand your situation further, did you have any problems with the law before (inside or outside Canada / at any time during your life). This might simply be a false alarm on their end but we don't know what's going on because everything is redacted.
