Citizenship test

Hello,

for those of you who passed the test, is there an app or website that has similar questions to the test? Or should I just read the book twice and it should be okay ?
are the questions easy as in you can guess the answer or do you have to know the answer?

Reading the book a few times is sufficient. It took me more than 2 times, but it depends in how well you maintain information. I did re-read sections I felt were my worst (history and government).

Practice tests give you a good feel for the questions, but the book is still the best resource. Be sure to also read the captions of the photos.

Hi,

You do not have to learn the whole Discover Canada by heart. Just remember some important dates and you should be fine. At the end of the day all the questions are logic and I could easily pass the test just with my previous knowledge about Canada. I.e. one of the questions could be, what do we celebrate on July 1st?

IMO you don't need to pay for any supplements. And as previously mentioned, the test is very easy, and many are based on general knowledge.

it is multiple choice anyway, so you don't need to exactly remember everything. Ideally you can narrow it down based on the choices.

My wife used citizenshipsupport.ca and we paid for the package. She used ApnaToronto first and then the paid one. She thought they were quite helpful. She got 20/20 questions correct.

You may not need to do these practice tests but it might be worth it for the confidence boost.

I used apnatoronto and richmond library but focused mainly on apnatoronto as its chapter by chapter quizzes were extremely helpful in making me remember key points after reading every chapter. I suggest you go back and forth between each chapter and apna chapter quizzes. Overall make sure you read the book 3 times and have done all the apnatoronto quizzes. This should be more than enough in my opinion.

Hi - I have not got any invites yet, but, anyone taken online test, pls. share your feedback. If i understand correctly, we will get an invitation to take a test between a 21 days window, is it a link, that we can click anytime in that 21 days and do it online?

Or do i need to wait for someone to coordinate at the selected time? Is the test done via zoom or teams ? what should i keep it installed in my computer and what is the duration of the test & what documents i need to keep it ready for the test. Will i know, whether i passed or failed instantly, after the completion of the test?

You need a PC/laptop with a webcam and a browser

& what documents i need to keep it ready for the test.

An ID document (like your PR card or Driver's license)

Will i know, whether i passed or failed instantly, after the completion of the test?

Yes but that result is temporary. The results will be checked by an officer and if everything checks out, your test will be set to "Completed".

I did not take the test but took an online course. They told us time management is important and you could be done with the test in 20 min or less if you know the material. Make sure you read the book once or twice.
