That's correct, my wife received the letter first then the eCAS changed online after a day...

Congratulation DAX9890, Thanks for the update. Did your Ecas update when you got the test invite? Its so weird my Ecas never updated after the line that they started processing my file on May 8, 2014. I never received any update about the test invite too. The only update was the status changed from in process to Decision Made two days after I took my test on July 20.

I checked my ecas today and got this!!!


We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on December 10, 2014.
We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on February 24, 2015.
We started processing your application on March 2, 2015.
We sent you a notice on July 27, 2015 to appear and write the citizenship test on August 12, 2015 at 8:25 AM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.


Would anyone share their experience on citizenship test? are there any parking nearby the office?

You can park in the Canada Place parkade. It's not that expensive to park in there.

Yeah same here. Today morning a new update in Ecas when I clicked the Decision Made. They updated with the test invite for July 20 but no oath update yet. Seems like getting closer but not yet.

I did ordered my notes but it will take 30 business days before I get it. Also, I went to an immigration consultant with my MP and he said everything was going fine. Now, why if it is ok I am still waiting? I am sooo mad about this... This is SO unfair

Guys gave my test yesterday.. 20/20
Was pretty simple if you read the book.

Test took like 5 mins but Overall it took me 1 1/2 hour at Canada place. Parking is inside the building so no need to worry.
Oath Invitations will be within 2-4 months as they said. Best of luck everyone.

Just checked eCAS. My oath date is scheduled for the middle of august! I cant be happier ;D

It took 10 years start to finish (I mean since applying for PR to taking the oath)
