Citizenship test results, Edmonton Office

Still no invite for Oath ceremony. I wrote the test first week of Nov. The officer said 3-4 months to get Oath ceremony. Its already 3rd month with no invite yet.

There are no new posted schedule for oath taking in Edmonton.

I called cic number several times but they cant tell anything except to wait. Cic edmonton is only schedulling test nowadays but Oath, they are dead slow. A friend of mine has got their Oath invite after 5 months. The timeline of 25 months is a joke on the website. I m completing my 25 months but no invitation yet.

It is very hard to estimate the current time from test to oath as there is almost no public info available since none of the applicants I know from this forum have recent statistics from the Edmonton office. I was hoping for end of January or early February. However, not being able to check Edmonton oath schedule from CIC's website makes me worried now.

During my interview, I was told that if everything is alright, I would get the oath invitation in 2-4 months. What did they tell you?

Finallly I received my oath ceremony letter this week. Its on 11 Feb 2014 in Edmonton.

Here's my timeline : -
1.Application received (grant of citizenship) on January 15, 2012.
2.Letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on January 15, 2012.
3.Application started processing on February 26, 2012.
4 Wrote the citizenship test on November 19, 2013
5.Citizenship ceremony to be held on February 11, 2014 .

Here's my timeline : -
1.Application received (grant of citizenship) on January 15, 2012.
2.Letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on January 15, 2012.
3.Application started processing on February 26, 2012.
4 Wrote the citizenship test on November 19, 2013
5.Citizenship ceremony to be held on February 11, 2014 .

hi cdrics, congrats you got Oath invite. I wrote my test on 4 Nov last year but still no invite. When did you get an invite? Was it recent in a day or two? I applied in 7 Jan 2012.

Congrats cdnrics this is a good news.

On a side note, I am not really understanding why there is inconsistency in the process (for example others who submitted their appls in January 2012 they had in process 9 or 10 months later meaning in Oct or Nov, while cdnrics had his in process in Feb 2012).

I received oath letter on 29 Jan 2014 (Wednesday) and it was updated on e-cas a day before 29th.
Mine is SINGLE application.

I applied on 7th Jan 2012 too and wrote the test on 4th Nov last year but no oath invite yet. our timelines are similar so keep me posted if you get invite for Oath. I guess Feb invitations are already sent but we are not invited yet.

According to some reports on other boards (and in other languages) our beloved local office is finally moving the Q2-2012 applicants to the testing stage! (staying positive, staying positive, STAYING POSITIVE... ;D).
And they tend to send invites at the very short notice - less than 2 weeks to prepare.

Glad to hear that rumors Kisunja. Anyone from Edmonton or its neighboring cities got invited recently to this massive written test invitation?
Hope you dont mind to post/reply to this forum that way we know at least there is some activities going on in our local office.

Canuto, I am not sure how massive it is. But if folks who applied between April and June 2013 are being scheduled for the test, then your turn will be coming soon!
