Hi, Same happened to me as well. Transferred to Edmonton office line disappeared.

My timeline is:

We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on November 24, 2014.
We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on December 19, 2014.
We started processing your application on December 23, 2014.

@ edm_AS @ tunshah we have one thing in common all of us our applications were recieved on November 2014 and all of us have experienced transfer line disappearance :)

My guess is maybe it's just their crappy system failed to query the necessary information from the database.

Anyways, I'm wondering why it takes a year for Edmonton office to send test invites compare to Toronto and Vancouver :-[ :-\ :'(

Hi, anyone from March 2014 who applied and did not get test invite? I still did not get test invite. I received the GCMS notes, but from the notes it seems there was nothing on my file after it was transferred to Edmonton office. The last activity on the GCMS notes was on August 14, 2014. All the security clearance shows as PASSED. I did not get any RQ till now. Here are some of the sections from the notes:

Case Stage: ASSESS
Case Status: OPEN
Activities:7, Type: Decision, Status: Pending, Responsible Office: Siebel Administration
Sub Activities:1, Type: PS/Judge's Decision, Status: Pending, Responsible Office: Edmonton CIC
Sub Activities:2, Type: Official's/Grantors Decision, Status: Pending, Responsible Office: Edmonton CIC
Activities:9, Type: Testing, Status: Not Started, Responsible Office: Siebel Administration
Sub Activities:2, Type: Schedule Test, Status: Not Started, Responsible Office: Edmonton CIC

Did anyone who received their GCMS notes before they got test invite could interpret the above? If I knew that I will not get any test invite till next year its ok too, but this waiting is frustrating as I cant even schedule a vacation. Getting a test invite just when I am on vacation is the last thing I would want.

Thanks

I think Edmonton is slow, though I do know a few people whose entire process took less than 12 months. Also we do have the option of requesting for ATIP (5$ and they tell you exactly what is being done to your application)

Hello ABscentist: So, since you did not hear anything being a jan 2014 applicant, did you get your GCMS note? Did it say anything about PS/Judges Decision pending? As you can see from my notes they did not work on the file since Aug 2014. I believe almost everyone if the forum who applied until May/June 2014 have received test notices or oath, except only few that includes us.

From some other post I saw a link that the CIC claims that all applications filed before April 2015 would be processed by March 2016 to reduce the backlog.

Certainly they will remove the backlog. Since from June 11, 2015 new applicant needs to be physically in Canada for 1460 days and this won't count the time spend in Canada before getting PR status. So almost 90% new applicants have to wait for another year to post their application. If there is no or just 10% new applications it ll be reducing backlog.
Just FYI
Make sure you read something very important Bill-C24
