Hi, me and my mom took the test separately on Nov 15 2011 and Jan 19 2012, and we are both still waiting for the oath notice. Anyone who took the test around the same time had their oath already???
btw we would need to leave Canada at the end of June 2012, and our PR cards are expired. We do not plan to renew them because we thought that by that time we would have our passports already. However, this doesnt seem to be quite right... Do we have any reason to worry about the oath not being before Juen 2012?? for both cases??? If anyone had the same issues of long long waiting time from test to oath or people who took the test around the same time as us, Please share. Thank you everyone!!! :)

hey dont worry it probably should happen before June. As 6 months is an extreme, if you have other complications in your case you would have known by now. So if you havent recd rq or anything you should get the oath in april - may. In case it doesnt happens and you have to go overseas then you can always get a visa from overseas consulate and come back to country to take your oath. That will be a pain..so hope it happens before June. Renewing PR wont be worth it! Good Luck!

Hello there,

My understanding is that a regular citizenship or naturalization process should take no longer than 19 months in total. So the time-frame for the oath is anywhere from 2-6 months maximum [also included in this 19 months]. I supposed that your mother's process has staged somewhere in which case, she needs to either contact CIC or visit your local CIC office in Vancouver, in order to obtain some answers about her process. You in the other hand, are within the 19 month time frame, so I strongly believe that you will receive you oath invitation very shortly. Hope that helps !!! :)

we took the test in October 2011. After 2 months I got the residential Questionnaire. I filled and submitted in first week of February 2012. After that nothing happend. Still waiting.
I wondered to see the residential questionnaire. we never been go anywhere within last 5 years. From first day onwards I am working and I have all the proof of required documents and submitted to CIC.
Any suggestions. how long it will take.
