I just took my citizenship test today and was told to wait 2 -3 months from the test date to see if I have passed the test or not. A lady citizenship staff at the Citizenship testing center told me that if after 3 months I have not received any letter from them, I will have to see a citizenship judge, which means that I failed the test I took today. I will wait until early October to see what happens. Hopefully, the result is a good news.

According to some previous posts in this forum, someone just waited for about 2 weeks while some others can wait as long as 6 months to get the result. So I am making this topic to see if anyone has been in the test room with me today to share your stories and compare the outcomes. Other people can share your experiences here too and those shared experiences are very appreciated.

To be honest with you, I am kind of nervous for the result of my citizenship test.

Hey Mech,
I had my test 3 weeks ago and didnt hear back yet...
How did you do at the test?

Hi Kobiams.

I think I got some questions wrong (at least 2) and am still wondering if I got another question wrong (because I can't remember the question correctly). I got test version B ("Protected B" as written on the top right corner of the test paper). Hopefully I got other questions correct. I just need 75% to pass the test.

After I handed the test to one of the citizenship ladies in the testing center, she scanned my test but did not tell me my test result. Another lady staff told me that if I get a letter from them within the next 3 months, it means that I passed the test. Otherwise, I will have to see a citizenship judge next July.

How did you do the test Kobiams?

Hey,

I know I has 2 questions wrong but hope the rest are all good.

At the test I didn't have even 1 answer that was C !!!!!!

Hi ukhalid74.

I don't know of a credible consultant/lawyer in this matter because I applied my citizenship application by myself without any help from a lawyer or consultant. And I don't know what happens to the other applicants, but for me, I submitted my citizenship application in around July 2011 and received my citizenship test in July 2012. For some minutes after the test, a lady staff in the test center told me to wait for about 3 months after the test date to see if I have passed the test or not by looking at the mail. If after 3 months and I have not got any letter for the oath, it means that I have failed the test and need to see a citizenship judge about a year later. So I spend about 15 months to get my citizenship certificate if I pass the test in July 2012.

So you probably will have to spend approximately the same time duration as me.

Hooray ;D. I just received a letter to take the oath today :P. I am pretty amazed with the speedy result. I wish those who have taken and going to take the citizenship test will have big successes.

Congrats mech :P

You took your test on July/17?

Got the letter today ? When is your oath?

Thanks Kobiams.

I took my test on July 17 and got the letter today. My oath is on August 17. However, I started to apply for citizenship about last July. I got some minor delay in the test date because I missed a little thing. Otherwise, I think I might have taken the test in May. So I guess the time for the oath if you pass the citizenship test is about 12 months after they have started processing your application.

You might think I am superstitious but I have been practicing many good religious believes by being helpful to other people, so I think god is helping me pass the test and take the oath quickly. You should try being helpful to the others and I think god will help you take the oath soon.

Thanks for the info.

I actually do some volunteer work in my committee bur not in order to get something out of it but the self satisfaction.

How you volunteer in your community is exactly how I have been volunteering. I just volunteer to help other people as much as I can without any desire to get something back from other people. I volunteer just for my internal happiness.

Wish you all the best with your citizenship application.
