Citizenship Test From Outside Canada

I did it from outside Canada. I sent an email to the office that sent me the test invitation and they responded in 30 minutes saying that it was okay.

Thanks! Quick question, did you mention why you are out from Canada, like the reason? Or was it just like simple that "I am out of canada and would like to write my test and here are the details etc. "

It was simple. I didn't mention reasons. Just my name, UCI, Application number and the test start and end dates. and the fact that I am outside Canada and would like to take the online test from outside canada. They don't need reasons.

Test Invitation: 1/Sep/2021

Test Window: 3/Sep/2021 to 23/Sep/2021

As explained by the invitation, I sent a message to ask for the test Outside Canada: 1/Sep/2021

I also sent a reminder at: 2/Sep/2021

No answer yet!!!!!!!!!!!!

What to do? Go for the test or wait them to reply………….

Montreal Office is little bit late compared to other visa offices, so you can wait for them to respond back or send 3rd reminder as well. There are people waiting for every step delay from Montreal visa office ,Look for the thread ( https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-i...-or-oath-ceremony.721977/page-21#post-9669558 ). Thank you

An absence of Canada has been added to your file. Please send us proof of your departure from Canada at your earliest convenience.

Please send us a copy of your plane ticket, boarding pass and passport entry stamp after your return to Canada.

Now they are using this trick to add absence and now wont process till you come back i think.
damn... ircc is doing everything it can to avoid processing the files.

Give the test. Apply for gcms after 4 weeks to see if your file is on hold. if so then you should return back to get your file activated.

To proceed with the online test from your location outside Canada you can access the link in the test invitation that was previously emailed to you within the specified time period."

you mean they want "Please send us proof of your departure from Canada at your earliest convenience. " after I get back? oh my god!

Its same link for all. Prepare for test for some days. Give test within 21 days https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...canadian-citizen/citizenship-test/access.html

2. Yes, no idea how its going to turn out. Possibly your stay abroad is cut short. Dont know yet.

Its open to all. No prequalification required. Thats why they mentioned at #2.
Just prepare for the test.
2. Its only after you return since they already added absence to your file.

I left Canada after I signed and mailed my application!!! Oddly, the citizenship application asks for mentioning periods in the five years period!

Absence in your application file for the processing related. Not for your eligibility.
Lets not get confused right now.

Prepare for your test.
Give the test.

Later we can deal with this after you give the test.

In your application they have fields to enter data like
"Unavailability From:
Unavailability To:
"
You wont see these information in your application as this is just for their internal processing policy related.

Hi all,
I took my test on 5th Aug from outside Canada. Got passport pages request on 10th which I submitted on 15th. No update after that. Test status is still in progress. They mentioned nothing about adding absence. Just wandering if they are still working on my file or not. Please let me know if anyone has any idea. Thanks
