Great work in trying to get info on what is happening behind doors. If we see a significant number of invites for Jan/Feb/Mar 2020 applicants in q1/q2 2021, there is a hope for 2020 applicants (atleast 50% of them!!) to finish the process in 2021.

I am 'Expect the worst and hope for the best' approach. What else we can do?? !!
I wish I could be as optimistic as you guys. I am not seeing any January 2020 getting invites right now except some urgent process applications and some random people from the facebook group (we are not even sure if they are telling the truth). The number test of invites drastically dropped and they are still 2019 candidates waiting.
God save us all.

I saw a post on FB where an April 2020 non-urgent applicant reported receiving test invite. I am taking it with a grain of salt.

Having said that, we might (hopefully) see some movement in the test invites for 2020 Citizenship applicants in the next 2 months.

Hello friends.

I share with you here a reflection that I had earlier while drinking my morning coffee before going to work, while listening to the news on the radio of `` radio canada premiere '' (equivalent of cbc in French, the public broadcaster) ...

They made a journalistic report on the federal government's spending on equipment related to the pandemic ... More than 60 million dollars ... They interviewed experts, and members of taxpayer agent protection associations in Quebec...

In short, the question really arouses people's nerves.

I had a reflection that I would like to share with you ...

We are all waiting for the result from our friend who made the atip request (access to information request) ... I think it would be a good thing to give us an idea of what is going on behind the walls .. .

You all know that we are directly affected by the holidays code 699 ...

In short, my thinking is that we should be smarter than simply denouncing a specific ministry in particular: We will pass for egoists in public opinion + this will give material to xenophobes and supporters in the hard line of O ' toole & co to insult and denigrate us = All this will therefore be counterproductive.

I think that we should rather limit ourselves to the generality of denouncing the waste of the public money of the taxpayer as a whole ... And the code 699 is one of the aspects of this waste ...

My point is that when the atip application comes out, it will be wise to use it as a general example that honest Canadian worker money is being abused and wasted by the federal government ... (code 699 is used by the entire public service, not just by IRCC) ... By applying intelligent pressure, and in general, we will take away from racists any possibility of attacking us ... No one is against the waste of public money.

What do you think ?

, Piotr.

I do hope that the request @rajkamalmohanram made will bring some useful information. I can't wait to read their response :)

Many ppl who applied in March 2020 are getting test invites. I applied in March 2019 and still waiting.

May i ask about the source of information that many March 2020 applicants got test invites ... cause we barely see any movement in non-urgent 2020 applications.

Flying lion. Looks like the joke is on you. I have also been seeing people on FB who have been getting invited for the test who applied in February 2020, and I have seen them post pictures of their test results as well. Have even seen others that have taken the Oath who applied in 2020.
