Hi Guys,

Can a Permanent Resident (PR) apply for citizenship as soon as he completes his 3 years residency obligation

OR

He can apply only after 5 years (provided,of course 3/5 years of residency in Canada).

I'd appreciate it if you can share your knowledge on it.

After staying in canada total : 1095 days.

New 3/5 will be applicable in fall 2017.

As soon as you complete 1095. As per the form you ll be asked to fill adresses and work for 5 past years, and you simply add the years when you were at home land before becoming RP.
