Citizenship - Proof of language, OQLF test

Hi,

I comply to the citizenship requirements regarding the time spent in Canada during the past 5 years, however I'm not sure of my language proficiency proof.

Here it says that Immigration Canada should accept test results already been used for the Quebec-selected Skilled Worker application, which was my first Canadian visa. I used my Quebec Engineer Order french test (OQLF - Office Quebecoise de la Langue Française) and it has been accepted as proof of language for the working visa first, and for the permanent visa then (so for the PEQ, CSQ and CAQ from Québec, and the PR visa for the federal government).

Now, since it's not formally listed in the accepted language test for the citizenship, I called the OQLF for info, and they told me that this test purpose is solely for professional orders, so it shouldn't be accepted for immigration purposes (but they're not sure).

Anybody has experienced a similar situation before? Could my citizenship request be refused? How is it possible that the OQLF test (a Quebec government bureau) is accepted for engineer professional order, skilled working visa, permanent resident visa, but not for the citizenship? I'd like to be sure before to pay 600 CAD for the processing.

Thanks to everybody, regards,

Other language...

I just spoke with a CIC operator, since OQLF is not listed it shouldn't be accepted, however he wasn't 100% sure because of the "In some cases, you may send test results that you already sent to us or the Ministère de l’Immigration" statement.

In fact, his advice has been to try and send the application with an explanation letter (like how the OQLF test has been previously accepted for the permanent resident visa), worst case scenario they will refuse and won't bank the payment and I'll have to schedule for an accepted test.

Pretty funny how the federal government wouldn't accept a Québec government bureau test...

Hello Pensa11, did you use your OQLF test result for your Quebec-selected Skilled Worker application? Was it approved? I'm preparing to apply for my PR and I want to make sure it is recognized by QC. I however did not see the OQLF being listed in the list of the accepted French proficiency exam and I'm quite worried. And any follow-ups on your application for citizenship? Did it work out at the end? Please let me know!
