I came to Canada in August 2009, became a pr August 2012, now when I do the calculator on cic says I'm not eligible. Did anything change? I thought 4 out of the 6 years I had to be a pr.

Can anyone help

I did, for 49 days. I just noticed, it says I should be eligible by October 15, yay!!!

Thanks for replying!

Maybe wait an extra week or so just to be safe. Never know when that extra 5 or 6 days might come in handy in case the travel report shows you landed at 1am or something.

Yes totally agree. Always give yourself a buffer - even if you are very sure of your travel dates. IRCC likes seeing some buffer. 2 weeks is recommended.

Quick question: I'm currently out of country for 73 days for biz trip and vacation purposes, mostly to the USA. Totally there were about 18 trips. Once I apply the citizenship when I am eligible, do you think my case will be considered as a non-routine application due to so many trips out of country?

I had about 70 trips for a rough total of ~300 days outside Canada, mostly to the USA, when I applied. I had no problems, though the interviewer did go through all my trips and asked the purpose of them. I think what helped a lot is that I am also a US citizen so the interviewer was satisfied with my reason (visiting my parents and other family members). I know IRCC tends to be a little more suspicious for non-US citizen/GC applicants with a lot of travel to the US. They may suspect that your main goal is to go to the US after you get Canadian citizenship. But if you have good reasons, (like your Canadian employer sent you down there for meetings), I think it will be fine.
