I had about 70 trips for a rough total of ~300 days outside Canada, mostly to the USA, when I applied. I had no problems, though the interviewer did go through all my trips and asked the purpose of them. I think what helped a lot is that I am also a US citizen so the interviewer was satisfied with my reason (visiting my parents and other family members). I know IRCC tends to be a little more suspicious for non-US citizen/GC applicants with a lot of travel to the US. They may suspect that your main goal is to go to the US after you get Canadian citizenship. But if you have good reasons, (like your Canadian employer sent you down there for meetings), I think it will be fine.
