I need razerblade or any other member to help me urgently in this:
I just called CIC and the agent told me your address was changed on Nov. 2nd from USA address to Canadian address, I got shocked. I live in my current address since before getting my PR. The agent told me that the officer might put my file aside because of this.
I told her also that another agent told me that my first day in Canada was May 6th, however, I came and started working in Canda on May 1st and that is what I mentioned in the application form.
Tell me what to do now and my files are sitting there aside waiting for someone to look at them?
Sorry to hear that. I think at this point you need to hire a lawyer to represent your case. You can find lawyers who give you 30 min free consultation and that may also give you a clue on your case.

All give me the same answer
Address changed: he said he told that your address was changed on Nov. 2 meaning they have opened your application, and they might have deemed complete as you haven’t received it back. It is sitting for someone to record it in GCMS and issue you AOR. Possibly what I noticed is that they do initial review, if its seems complete then they pass it on to Data entry Center/team. If not then they send it back. That’s why most incomplete application are received back earlier by PA and all others received AOR(assumption).

Regarding dates: You MIGHT want to order GCMS notes under Privacy act. See what they did in your PR application.

I've been reading this silently and agree with Alyssagreen .. seems like the case really needs the attention of a good immigration lawyer ..
It will cost you some, but at least they will do the necessary due diligence to get some answers, and try to correct the problems ..
The citizenship app is supposed to be a simpler process than PR, imo .. but sometimes when you find yourself in a tight spot, you have to seek help from professionals .. because clearly, anything you do is complicating things even more, due to lack of knowledge, information, and trying anything that comes to mind in a hurry without thinking ..

This goes for everyone - money comes and goes, so don't be cheap, and have the backbone to spend where you have to .. if you have to leave this planet tomorrow, you're not going to carry the money with you .. so use it to improve your life today ..
I've been reading a lot of people here making a mess of things because they don't want to spend money that could have saved them a lot of headaches .. common sense tells us that this forum is not gospel .. nobody here can tell you what to do, or how to fix your issues .. yes, they can guide you, but it's just a suggestion .. the ultimate decision will be yours and yours only ..

But its almost 50 days since October 19th. This is regarding the first application. What about the second one that was received on Oct. 23rd?
The agent advised me to send a letter to Sydney office explaining my situation.

Thank you, my friends, for your advice.
The agent told me to escalate the case by sending a letter to Sydney office explaining what happened. I will do this now.
As for the PR application, it is my consideration more complicated for people whose trial to apply for PR is their first trial.
But citizenship is very simple; 1+1 equals 2.
I went to a lawyer before applying to PR and he asked me for $6.500. I applied for skilled worker program and got 88 points. Then applied for CEC, because my first application through FSW was returned as I did not LMO as I am a religious worker, and got file number 5 weeks after and got my PR status in a year exactly.
I will send them the letter, then if it did not work, then I will consult a lawyer.
Thanks all for your friendly help and advice.

IP not within days , you are mistaken .. check the sheet and compare . if i understood correct they have up to 8 weeks to change status but no harm in asking one of the hero members .
good luck

Ok, hope it works out for you .. being a religious worker, you should have some divine intervention on your side ..

Yes, lawyer fees can be quite expensive .. but can be well worth it ..
In my case, I had a few friends who used a very good lawyer, but the truth was the paralegal behind the scenes was doing all the work, and was very knowledgeable .. so I made friends with that paralegal over coffee, and asked if she she could guide me, for a fee .. which was way cheaper than the lawyer who simply signs the documents at the end of the day for 8k ..
Unfortunately I was her last case that she took, before she retired .. but her wealth of knowledge, many years of experience, and also personally knowing some people inside CIC, helped out a lot ..
You could try something similar and get a very good paralegal ..

Thanks again for your advice. The paralegal asked for $xxx at that time to help me with my PR application, but I did apply myself and got the PR.

I hope that someone from CRA, IRCC or RCMP is monitoring this forum. That is a blatant corruption case described here.

The PR application can be complex, but the Citizenship application is way easier by comparison.

Only if you don't get RQ.
I guess I don't think it should be all that difficult for someone to prove their presence requirement, either. If you've been here for years as a PR in preparation for attaining your citizenship, it shouldn't be difficult to provide the documentation.

I contacted the MP and he will fax an inquiry letter with all my information. Hopefully, to get good news soon.
Th only thing I really want to know is: where are my applications if they are returned or why I do not AOR if they are accepted? And why they updated my address if it is the correct one since I got my PR?
Pray for all of us, please.
Thanks again.

Gathering all documents is a pain. You can only feel the heat when you actually get it.
