haha :)
looks true but not true I guess. There is pattern if you watched closely the file. Only those currently received the AOR who's application delivered till 16th of Oct so far. So you can say it's first come first serve basis.
probably only 15 % of people are on this forum who applied for citizenship. Oct file have 450 + entries with this ratio actually it can be more than 2000 + Citizenship applications only in Oct. just a rough guess.

Good luck
There's a few AOR for Apps Delivered on Oct 17th. I vote for the lottery technique too o_O

I think IRCC must be randomizing the applications to ensure that no one application goes to any one officer. So the applications from the 13th for about a week would be jumbled up and then batched out to different officers. We don't see too many of the Oct 12th applications getting AORs because they were probably randomized with the earlier applications. Just another theory to explain the sequence in which the AORs are being received.

Also every time the government changes the rules, applications received as per the new rules are processed faster than those applications as per the earlier rules. I have witnessed this for the processing of my wife's spousal sponsorship application, where we applied in March 2017, as per the new application process and she landed in October 2017. There are still many who applied prior to December 2016, who are still waiting for their applications to move for 16-18 months.

Please add mine
Sent: Oct 11
Received: Oct 13
Days: 1299
AOR: 2 Nov
City: Montreal

Does anyone know why my spouse has not received her AOR since she sent on Oct 2 with four years eligibility? her package is full and flawless for sure(1461 days) . from the same city and same address.
Lucky you. My application was received on Oct 13 also, sent from Montreal also (in French), and I still haven't heard anything back...
Have you applied in English or in French? Just curious...

I submitted my application and forgot to attached a copy of my permanent residence card. There is a strong possibility that my Application will be returned to me.
The Copy of PR card requirement was removed in the new forms for adults.

،i totally agree with the theory about ensuring no internal "fraud" to happen due to the fact of an officer can exactly target a file with specific day date. reasonably i believe normally a one month interval is axiomatic so they mix all of files recieved within a month all together. but due to the exceptional period and heavy numbers of files i guess they are categorizing it according to weeks. so the week corresponding from 12 to 20 are mixing all together. and the week from 21 to 26 Oct is another week and will begin to see AOR corresponding to this week soon As i believe with heavy application number there will be a derivation of employee task for to cover

I see only portion of those who applied and received on 16 October got their AOR .. so looks like its 2 weeks and above from relieving the application you get AOR ..

Hi All, I applied from Montreal. I sent my application on October 12th and it was received on October 16th. I just received the AOR. Took them 17 days. My friends who applied before the new law got the AOR after 30 days. Can we say the process is faster now despite the higher number of applications?
I am not able to see my process in CIC website. I also saw some people having the same problem here. We have to wait 1 or 2 days to see the process in the website?

Getting AOR is faster for some simply because IRCC allocated a few resources towards processing C6 applications in parallel with C24, but that doesn't mean processing will be faster too. It will still be processed by your local case processing center just like any other application. In fact, now they have the added effort of verifying prePR credit for those that use it. Whose to say it won't take longer ?

I sent in English :) The only reason comes to my mind is the well-organized file I had. The officer may have liked to pick my colourful beautifully labeled file :)

I sent only one receipt copy over both applications (family). Is this may create problem?

I found this on CIC website:

You must pay the application fees:

  • in Canadian funds
  • online (we don’t accept other payment methods)
We won’t refund your processing fees (or your children’s, if you’re applying for them) after we start processing your application(s).

If you’re sending all of your family’s application forms in the same envelope you can use one payment receipt for all of them.

The instruction guide has more detailed information on fees.
