Hi Guys,

A question, does it matter if the document checklist in the application refers to 08-2017 instead of 10-2107, it essentially has the same things? and I have included all the supporting documents

When i applied on 13th Oct made double sure to download the right document checklist from 10-2017 but at that time it seemed to be it was not available. the application has already reached anyways but just wanted to know for peace of mind :)

I would think it'll be ok, it's just a checklist. But then again, if your application happens to land with some pissy officer, they can return it. Will have to wait and see.

Hope fully that doesnt happen :)

I think I may have mis-understood a question and it is giving me headache. Question 13, which ask about immigration or citizenship status in any other country, including country of birth. I was in the USA on a one year work visa 10 years ago, but I was not a permanent resident or citizen of the US.
I think I should have included that info in answering ques 13, but I didn't. Will it be detrimental? How do I fix this omission? My application was just delivered by Canada post 2 days ago. HELP!!

Now its out of your hand , its better to ask IRCC how to include.

It's asked in Instruction/Guide. Must include.
Instruction guide does not ask for those documents. You are incorrect!

  • "Tell us which countries you have held status in, and exactly what status you held or currently hold (student, employment/worker, refugee/protected person, permanent resident or citizen)."
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/CIT0002ETOC.asp#Step4
You are still incorrect. That section of the guide simply lists the types of immigration documents you can get your UCI # from. It doesn't say you should include them. In any case, with your UCI number, they can access all that.
