I am in a little bit of a pickle and need help. customer service line has been busy all morning couldnt reach.

my concern is with time calculator. I was a temporary worker in Canada and then a refugee claimant.

CIC website says time you spent as a claimant wont be counted. so my question is: do I keep that period of one year when I was a refugee claimant empty? wouldnt that leave a gap?

FYI when I was a claimant I applied for work permit and was working.

is my question so hard?

Has anybody tried to print CIT 0002 form? acrobat reader print button is disabled and "Print Form" button does nothing for me...
many threads stating you cant print due to techical Error . wait for new forms.

Not really, but people may not have seen it yet. If it doesn't count the claimant portion but counts working portions, IF you were indeed working, list that you were because the form does ask about employment history, I would definitely enclose a note explaining time as a claimant as well. More senior members may add and/or correct me.

True. The "eligibility period" has been defined differently from previous rules and I think that's where the problem is. Had they kept it "from the moment you became a PR or" to a maximum of a fixed period, we would not have these issues. Extending the eligibility period makes only sense for police clearances (yet they only use 4 years), but not for physical presence if have none in Canada before you became a PR.
So what should we do please call them and update everybody

What is up with the calculator and the way it calculates days out of country. An example, left Canada on 16/05/2013 returned 20/05/2013 and it lists as 1.5 days. All of mine are like this. Something that should be at least a full day is listed as half a day....
Pre PR absents are counted as 0.5 day

Guys do we need a police clearance certificate ??? I havent lived in any other country other than canada in the last 5 years. Have gone for vacation but only for few weeks, Do i need a police clearance from canada ?

Can anyone recommend fingerprinting service in Brampton/Mississauga area. Needed to get FBI clearance.

Hey guys,

In terms of sending copies of Passports and Travel documents. I am sending copies of two passports out of three since the third one was from before 2012-10-11. For travel documents, I'm also including copies of Study permits from 2012-10-11 onward.

So the things I have from before 2012-10-11 include another canadian study permit, a UK study visa and a UAE resident visa as well as the third (oldest) passport I mentioned. Is it safe to leave these out and not send them any copies for these? even though ive mentioned them in the "what immigration/citizenships/statuses have you ever held before".

Will appreciate someones input on this..

Thanks!
