Citizenship Applications after Bill C-6

Ma citizenship application has been received on october 16,2017 and until today (december 7) i didn't receive an accused of receiving. Please is anyone in the same situation ?

Wonder if IRCC ever handled this many Citizenship applications specially first few days after 11 October! Is it possible they could lost an application? Trying to imagine the first few days when they were receiving applications; piles after piles; overwhelming amount! Probably they did not even have enough space on the desk to sort those application’s pile. The applications were probably as tall as mount Everest. It is totally possible that the piles broke and fell coupe of times and some applications went into hiding under cabinet or desk! I believe it is totally possible!

The employees probably don’t care about it because the piles are keep coming everyday and who wants to go look under the cabinet for extra work? Maybe sometimes someone picked up an application from under the cabinet and probably that’s how some first week applicants are getting AOR! Just my hypothesis!

If this is the case, is it worthy waiting for some miracle that one day someone may find and pickup my application from under the cabinet? If you are not in rush, then YES, please wait couple of months see what happens. Citizenship is not a big deal! OR If you one of the guy who waited for Bill C6 to comes into law day after day then you are on the same page as me! It’s NOT worthy waiting! I can’t wait for someone to pickup my application from under the cabinet where it is hiding! I want someone to pick up my application from the desk top.

I thought I will go see FIFA wold cup 2018 in June using my Canadian passport but that is not going to happen!

Anyways I already send my application for the second time! Good luck!

The applications were probably as tall as mount Everest. It is totally possible that the piles broke and fell coupe of times and some applications went into hiding under cabinet or desk! I believe it is totally possible!

Long two weeks ? 2 weeks is actually quite fast. It's been over 2 weeks for mine, still not in process.

I can't access the spreadsheet for some reason. Do you guys know what is the average time to complete the process (i.e. to get the oath date)? I know the immigration website states 12 months, but if I recall correctly from the spreadsheet, it was shorter than that, right?

Recently my friend got citizenship done in 4 months from AOR in April to Oath ceremony in Aug!

If application hasn't been returned it surely is then in process to get entry in the system.

You are not alone. My application is delivered on 13 October, still waiting for AOR.
